At the press conference organized after Stage 2 of the “Baku-Khankendi” Azerbaijan Cycling Race, Sahib Alakbarov, the First Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, said that interest in the race is at a high level.

He highlighted that the race was interesting in terms of its appeal: “We are delighted that Olympic champion Alexander Vinokurov is our guest. A member of his team has become the winner today. There is also great interest in the tour. We want cycling to further develop in our country.”
